Farzin Ghannad
DDS, MSc, Dip.Perio, FRCD(C), FCDS(BC)
Dr. Farzin Ghannad is a Certified Specialist in Periodontics and Clinical Assistant Professor at UBC.
Dr. Ghannad completed his DDS degree at the University of Goettingen, Germany in 1996. He excelled in his studies and was awarded the SPD International Student Scholarship in recognition for his scholastic achievements.
He maintained a successful dental practice in Ottawa for 7 years prior to coming to UBC for his graduate studies in Periodontics & Implant Surgery.
He was awarded the Kathleen McAnulty Memorial Prize in Graduate Periodontics in 2006 and again in 2007.
His studies at UBC led to a Diploma in Periodontics and a Masters degree in Oral Biology.
Dr. Ghannad is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and the Periodontal Consultant for Vancouver General Hospital.
He maintains private practice in Vancouver & Richmond, BC.
Dr. Ghannad currently lectures in study clubs and Hands-on surgery courses for dental professionals nationally.
