Chris Wyatt

Dr. Chris Wyatt is currently Associate Professor and Chair of the Division of Prosthodontics & Geriatric Dentistry at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada.

Dr. Wyatt graduated with a DMD degree from the University of British Columbia in 1986, a diploma in Prosthodontics in 1995, and an MSc in Dentistry in 1996 from the University of Toronto. Dr. Wyatt's research interest in Toronto concerned the success of dental implants and the bone response adjacent to implants. At the University of British Columbia, his research interests include oral disease prevention, dental care for the elderly, and oral health promotion. He is a founding member of the ELDERS group (Elder's Link with Dental Education, Research, and Service). He is the director of the Geriatric Dental Program, which provides dental services to elderly institutionalized residents.

Dr. Wyatt is Vice President of the Association of Prosthodontists of Canada and the British Columbia Society of Prosthodontists, the Association of Canadian Faculties of Dentistry (ACFD) representative to the Canadian Dental Association (CDA) Committee on Community and Institutional Dentistry, and member of the Geriatric Dentistry Task Force committee of the Association of Dental Surgeons of BC. Dr. Wyatt also provides clinical care within a referral based prosthodontic dental practice in Vancouver.

Dr. Wyatt has spoken at international meetings across Canada and in the United States and has mentored several study clubs over the years. He has also published numerous clinical and research articles in peer reviewed Canadian and International journals.
